Wisconsin summer joy

Gaby walked to work this morning on 15th Street in New York City. I walked "for" my workout in rural Harrison this afternoon. While Gaby is powering America from her corporate post, I am watching the power of Wisconsin agriculture at work within a mile of our home, with fields of corn and the familiar scent of cow manure. There's a large cheese processing plant just another mile down the road. And perhaps forty miles east, on Lake Michigan in Manitowoc, CedarCrest ice cream turns out my favorite, Coconut Explosion.

It was a long walk, almost five miles, with repeated, short stops to take perhaps two dozen photos and short videos.

Such a truly splendid day.
