Undemocratic, regressive Democrats

First, let's get the words straight. It's the "Democrat" party, not the "Democratic" or "democratic" party, although to most of the mainstream legacy media, they don't know and can't appreciate the difference. And differences such as the Republican party, not the Democrat party, started as and has long been the anti-slavery party, while the Democrat party is the home for the KKK.
Second, the United States is not constituted as a democracy; it is a constitutional republic employing democratic methods within the constraints of the constitution and a republic of states.
Third, the recent Supreme Court decision to return the abortion rights decision to the states is not a subversion of democracy; it is, in fact, a restoration of democracy. Outside those rights enumerated in the Bill of Rights, it is not the job, nor the purview of the Supreme Court to create rights that have not been established by the democratic process in the states. Abortion "rights" are also not in the purview of governors of the states or the president of the United States; these right, if they are to be granted, remain in the hands of the legislative function.
Fourth, economic liberalism and political liberalism (as it is practiced today) are at the positive ends of the economic spectrum. Even Wikipedia recognizes this: "Economic liberals commonly adhere to a political and economic philosophy that advocates a restrained fiscal policy and a balanced budget through measures such as low taxes, reduced government spending, and minimized government debt." In contrast, the economics of the liberal/progressive/left are all in for big government, high taxes, and unlimited debt.
Fifth, the idea of "fair share" progressive taxation of income espoused by the "progressive," leftist, anti-capitalist Democrats is already well beyond the fair share that most people would judge to be the fair share burden for higher incomes. What do I mean by this? Simply put by an April 2023 article in the Wall Street Journal, "Overall, the data show that the lowest U.S. earners—about 43% of taxpayers with $50,000 or less—will earn about 10% of total income and owe -4.8% of income taxes, ... filers earning $50,000 or less in aggregate will pay 3.5% of total taxes." Conversely, "As the data show, nearly 80% of projected income taxes for 2022 will be paid by about 10% of filers earning $200,000 or more, and those earning $1 million or more will pay half of that. All told, filers in this group will earn 44% of income earned by individuals." It is not even like the 80/20 Pareto principle; it's ten percent paying 80%, i.e., much MORE than their fair share and much more than most people think is "fair."
Sixth, the truly regressive system embraced by the "progressive" left can be found in the ill-named "Social Security" insurance system, which is more of an income tax than an insurance plan to provides an illusion of security, while being the most painful, regressive income tax of all, i.e., most people pay more in "social insurance taxes" than in federal income taxes, and the high-earners pay social "insurance" income taxes on only their first $125k in annual earnings. As to "insurance," there is no life insurance element to Social Security at all; were you to die single, unmarried and childless, there is no insurance provided, zippo. And as to "following the science" -- or just the math -- progressives in the United States and places like France, want to bankrupt the social "security" portion by lowering the age of retirement as the life expectancy increases.
