Look at two images below. The top graph plots data recognizing the Medieval warming period. The lower image covers the same period but the warming period has been "adjusted" -- the Phil Jones "trick" -- so as to have it disappear, which is exactly what the email correspondence between two of the authors of the second graph agreed needed to be done to support their claims, i.e., change the data to support their conclusion rather than make a conclusion based on the data.
