Progressive hypocrisy and policy errors exposed

August 5, 2021. Now the woke mayors are reversing themselves, re-funding the defunded police.

Steve Scalise exposed Biden and Harris for the frauds and hypocrites they concerning the Trump-funded vaccine they now promote, when they rejected the idea of their own vaccinations last year.

Now nurses can be fired for not having the vaccine after having worked intimately with Covid patients and contacts for the past year -- with no vaccine.

The deadly conversion of defunding the police and making irrational, political policy decisions based on false or non-existent science has allowed the progressive left to greatly expand tyranny and to reduce personal freedom all under the guise of virtuous behavior, while the same politicians refuse to defund their own security -- in fact, increase it -- and refuse to wear masks or follow their other "Covid" policies.

Now New York governor Andrew Cuomo, hero of the woke yet mainstream Democrats, has been found guilty of sexual harassment crimes, the same acts that he decried from others but that he defends as his own personal, intimate yet harmless style of human interaction. Hey, he kisses everybody, so how can it be sexual harassment, right? Or maybe it is just harassment, period, a more subtle form of bullying and demonstrating power. In any case, he is hoisting himself of the petard of his own making.

And the truth about "critical race theory" shows just how damaging the theory is, as well as how it is wholly inconsistent with the positive values of western civilization. It's communism wrapped up in race language, leveraging wokeness into very bad politics and even worse economics.

Meanwhile, inflation runs rampant and large. Home and car prices are up more than ten percent since Biden came into office. Used car prices are up 38%. At Haen's Meats today, my formerly $15 a pound ribeye is now $20; the $5.99 chicken is $6.59. While Wisconsin has been able to keep gas prices below $3 a gallon, the price is up markedly and gas cost $5 in Los Angeles when Gaby left there last month.

The good news is that we don't need to buy a home or a car now. The bad news is that everything else is climbing in price even faster than the stock market can continue to grow; the rates for both dizzying. As to managing my medical health, I wrote this in a recent Facebook comment: "were I to not have the vaccine, there are still probably ten or twenty higher risks to my life at my age than Covid for a person with no pre-existing co-morbidities. It’s not just about taking risks and claiming personal freedom; it’s about taking care of yourself, ie, eating right, exercising, maintaining a healthy weight, washing your hands, and affirming and building your natural immunity. Covid has already done a good job of culling the herd, but it will also likely be a long-term ‘background’ cause of death. Don’t expect it to go away, ever."
