Scotland May-June 2022

Bottom line: Splendid family visit, fourth since first family visit in November 2013, when Jane was considering attending University of Edinburgh. A year later at Christmas, including our famous Loch Ness Christmas Eve trek. And in September 2019, without Jane yet with a trip to see Tottenham in north London.

Dena and I flew business class between Chicago and London, on American. And, of course, we saw the castle right away.

Gaby joined three days after we arrived and ran the marathon two days later. She ran well, 3:45. Weather was almost too warm. Running services erratic along the beach from Portobello after a run down the Royal Mile.

Jane joined us Monday afternoon and the next three days produced our memorable journey to Mallaig and Skye, guided by Sandy Alexander, and including a closing visit to the Fairy Pools.

Family has now climbed Arthur's Seat three times. Me twice. I have walked around Arthur's Seat several times. Jane and I took a sentimental journey around Arthur our last night.
