January 24, 2019: Deep snow

While I am known to take great pride in my emerald domain, to the point of breathlessness and obsessively straight lines cut precisely with my walk behind mower, twenty inches of snow is another matter entirely. This is from three years ago and we have not seen many days like this in the past three years. Twenty-three years ago, approaching Jane's birth, we had a good thirty inches of snow, with school closed for two weeks. I guess I take some please in a cleared sidewalk or driveway but let's be serious, enough is enough. Those days have passed with good memories.
