Juneau Jane climbs Mt Jumbo on Douglas Island

What's one more mountain to climb? Just another Sunday for Jane.

With her summer assignment completed, Jane has more energy to conquer a new mountain, after trekking Patagonia and climbing a mountain in the state of Washington and Arthur's Seat -- twice -- in Edinburgh.

Jane tracked her climb on Strava, an elevation gain of 3.195 feet, about two hours to climb up and a little longer to scramble back down.

How tall is Mt Jumbo Juneau? 3,337 feet! Mount Bradley, locally known as “Mt. Jumbo”, located on Douglas Island across the Gastineau Channel from the capital city of Juneau. This magnificent peak rises 3,337 feet over the icy cold waters of Stephen's Passage, famous for summer cruise ship voyages.
