Jane and Gaby, 2018 and 2021

Jane's Marquette graduation weekend, May 2018. Gaby flew in from UCLA for the intense, brief weekend, and flew back ill, and right into her spring term midterms.

This past Tuesday afternoon, 18 May 2021, Jane flew to Juneau for her summer ecological job. The next day, Gaby signed her lease for her Chelsea apartment, where she will share her two bedroom, sixth floor walk up with her first UCLA college room mate and from there she will begin her data analytics career. Jane will be sharing an apartment condominium with a middle school teacher in the Juneau public schools. Sunset in Juneau now is close to 10pm, sunrise at 4:30, and her days will only be growing longer for another month. We will see her in Los Angeles in mid June for Gaby’s formal, in person, UCLA graduation ceremonies. And Jane should return to Wisconsin in late August. Then again, she make take another path at that time.

Prayers for the safety and success of Jane and Gaby are always appreciated, just as I pray daily for my extended family and friends like you who have been part of their great journeys, from pre-school through college graduation and now this inflection point in their careers.
