Is inflation the 'new normal'? Is Pete Buttigieg the new normal?

Paternity leave Sleepy Pete. According to the mindless political hack and former mayor of floundering South Bend, Indiana, shortages, bottlenecks, and bloated wages are a good thing, and a sign of Joe Biden's great recovery, "out of a terrifying recession." Evidenced by "demand is off the charts" because of rising wages -- not inflation. At least he didn't claim that demand was 'surging' or 'spiking'.
I do not feel that we have made inflation the new normal, not a permanent and worsening condition. My belief? We need to instill 'management' in "supply chain management" and start unloading ships at a record-busting pace, with the military if necessary. We led the Berlin air lift 75 years ago, supplied wars in Iraq, Afghanistan and Vietnam to great effect, and commandeered an auto plant to make ventilators at the offset of of Covid, all in the name of national defense and getting the job done. This level of kickstart management also requires true leadership, not politics, not another bloated bill, and not virtue signaling or misguided attention to "climate change." Were the White House and Congress able to demonstrate even a scintilla of leadership, this problem could be fixed in a short period.
How?
Re-assign the military personnel and equipment that should have loaded and unloaded $82 billion worth of stuff they left behind in Afghanistan and have them unload ships in U.S. ports until the backlog/bottleneck is behind us. Brook no resistance from dock union workers; this is a national defense emergency.
Stop regarding people for dropping out of the labor force.
Eliminate mindless Covid policies and practices in exchange for sensible, effective ones.
And while you're at it, collect back the subsidies to Big Pharma to develop vaccines, as Reagan did with Chrysler stock options: We made the investment; we deserve a 'fair share' of the profit, a return on our investment.
Increase the age to receive any and maximum Social Security benefits, from 62 and 67 to 66 and 70. Increase the number of people working, paying taxes, and funding Social Security rather than encouraging them to collect payments from Social Security.
Onshore critical elements of our economy, including those selected in those numerous ships at anchor, waiting to be unloaded. Locate and develop alternative ports.
Teach 'prosperity theory,' i.e., business, markets, capitalism, entrepreneurship and wealth creation in out middle school, high school and college classrooms, in place of Marxism, critical race theory and socialism.
And give parents school choice; send them -- not the school board -- the money to educate their children.
