Some older photos from my alma mater. I think my memories of Harpur are often in black and white.
And some current shots of Hinman College halls. Not much has changed. They look brighter than I remember. Maybe it's my memory that's fading.
Here's a recent video, a short tour of the resident halls by the now-retired and re-named Hinman College Master.
And below find this excerpt from the university student newspaper, Pipe Dream, from March 1974, where I was interviewed about budget cuts in the student night guard security system. I ran the program 1973-74 during my first year in graduate school. First time I had to fire anybody. And I did this wheel taking twenty graduate credits a semester, working in the campus pub, and serving as teaching assistant for Jack Duffy's MGMT 101 lectures. I studied from 1:00 a.m. to 4:00 a.m. Up late for early lunch. Afternoon and some evening classes. 'Set' the five student security gulags in the resident halls each night, from 11:30 to 1:00. Then repeat the process.
