Reminiscing about my college days while watching a "making of" video about Animal House made me want to go back and explore my own college incidents of note, those golden or broken moments that resonate with me even today, from the subtle and simple to the more dramatic and direction-changing.

It all started with a Jim Messecar pick up in Eden in his Mustang for the three plus hour middle-of-the-night drive to campus, be the first to move in around 8 a.m., unpack my sparse belongings, then wait at the front entrance to Lehman Hall for the rest of the day.

My memories start with women

Sue Schustack. My first cross cultural fling.

The nut house: Paula Gutowski, Nancy Dawson, Stacie Williams, Susan Hoffmeister, Valetta Vancak.

  • Nancy: The early days

  • Paula: The Buffalo days, and Nancy Fama

Linda Holgers and Peggy Koch. Seniors with the freshman.

  • Mona, October 1972

  • Susan, April 1974

Marcie Mard. November 1972.

Nancy Galli. Tiny dancer. Pajama top. Hughes Hall, January-March 1973.

Janine Snow. My last multicultural crush.

Jessica Jarrad. The best body.

Louise Carter. The MBA years. The older woman, the car dealership family.

Judy Michalovic. Blonde waitress, leave me your number. Off to England.
