Family ancestry week end in Franklin, meeting second cousins, traveling the backwater of western Pennsylvania, and learning that my great, great, great grandfather, Peter Wilson, fought in the Revolutionary War. Peter and his wife, Margaret, were both born in Ireland but this side of the family -- Paige's side -- has been here 250 years.

We arrived in Franklin on 24 June, the twelfth anniversary of Paige's death.

We visited several cemeteries and family homes over nine hours on Saturday 25 June.

We were able to trace back one line of the family to Ireland and the eighteenth century Peter and Mary's son, John Wilson, fought in the Civil War

Coming home on Sunday was the longest part of the trip.

Happy to be back in Harrison.....
