July 2019: Touchdown framing nearly finished

Roof sheeting to commence tomorrow. Nice to view progress without having to act as a sidewalk supervisor.

The weather has generally turned in our favor and we should be at the electrical walkthrough in the next ten days and the phrase 'beginning to take shape' takes on more meaning.


Meanwhile, Gaby is fully engaged in her corporate internship and a full portfolio of summer life, while Jane has entered the final month of her magnificent year-long assignment in Tacoma.


As for me, June included thirty days of activities, with over 80 miles walked, the equivalent of a mile-high climb, and managing the process of adulting after fifty years of employment. Friday I received my last paycheck and let's just say that it was significantly more than that first weekly paycheck of $48 exactly fifty years earlier.
