Just when I though it was safe to stop writing....

Went to bed early last night yet had a terrible time getting to sleep. Earlier, I picked up y steroid prescription and bought flowers and tomato towers at Home Depot, before twenty minutes of mowing the back edge of the lawn, i.e, the slope and more of the easement.
Busy Saturday morning getting started. Ate and fed Dena. Did dishes, started laundry. Reposed to gmail about Loyola and College of Notre Dame. Stunned to read their 990's, especially to see all the pay off money going to Leggio, Wolfson and others. Loyola seems happy and generous to pay for their personnel decisions. And I can only imagine the 'woke' budget,
For now, I can only reassure myself of the wisdom and sheer luck of being able to have left Loyola, Baltimore and Maryland. Had we stayed, Jane and Abe would have been alone these past thirty months. I'd probably be making over $200k a year yet I'd probably be under fire for my lack of wokeness. At best, I'd be very uncomfortable and very hesitant to speak my mind.
It goes back to the crass revision by progressive academics, minorities and the media of the meaning of words like 'equity,' 'racist,' 'diversity,' 'inclusion,' and 'science.' The words have lost their original meaning and have become a form of trump card for any arguments that fail to meet the woke litmus test.
One of the most insightful persons has turned out to be Bill Maher, who has mistakenly been called a liberal when, in truth, he is much more of a libertarian, more like Rand Paul. This recent take down is classic rejection of the LGBTQ meme of the 'pride' month. This includes the climate-model like extrapolation of the LGBTQ expansion.

And today we can see his takedown of Hollywood's fascination with violence-filled entertainment. "The only thing we don't call a trigger is the one where a trigger is involved."
