'Equity' is communism, not socialism

In class, it was a simple illustration of social justice, and how and where it can be defined: First, in terms of opportunity, or inputs. Second, in terms of due process, or the traditional concept of fairness in the law. Third, in terms of equal outcomes, or equity. In this sense and in every sense of how the woke Left defines 'equity,' it is nothing short of communism, where no one owns anything and the government distributes everything, i.e., "to each according to his need." Under communism, the need is for equality of outcomes, that no one should be better off than any other person. That entire system was in place for about seventy years in the former Soviet Union, and we all know how that worked out as a disaster, in every respect, including environmental, economic and the death of tens of millions in the name of 'equity.' Why anyone would want to be associated with those practices defies the imagination ... unless you label it as 'socialism,' nothing more than communism with a democratic element.

So that is exactly what the woke Left has done, i.e., introduce the wolf of communism in sheep's clothing, only with no shame or embarrassment when critics try to hold them accountable for their 'theory,' be it Critical Race Theory, Marxism, European social democracy, theoretical Cuba, or an imaginary Sweden. There is "no there there" when it comes to a credible plan for either why or how 'equity' can or should be achieved, and even to pursue and approximation of this theory would require a most tyrannical government, along the lines of the most despicable socialist party, Hitler's Nazis who were first and foremost socialists, before they were fascists. Just as Antifa claims to be "anti-racist,' they demonstrate the practices off fascism, including anti-capitalism, communism, and anarchy all wrapped into an incoherent mob mentality bent only on destruction, nit on progress, prosperity, fairness or justice. They are the twenty-first century brownshirts; they would make Hitler proud.

And don't fall for those other faux if not meaningless terms, such as 'diversity,' 'inclusion,' or 'tolerance.' The woke Left is a homogenous collection of radicals, a group that includes only like-minded radicals, and who tolerate no diversity from their line of thought -- if you can call it that. Per Mark Steyn, they don't want to win the debate; they want to shut down the debate. They are the anti=thesis of what a university should be, only woke presidents have made this new religion of the Left the primary purpose of their universities, not as an institution of learning but rather as a social experiment without the consent of the subjects and with someone else's money. Much the sam can be said for national teacher unions and national school board associations, who demand taxpayer money and their silence and if the parents don't comply, they call in the FBI and label parental involvement as 'terrorism.'

Again, the collapse of western civilization can be seen in the erosion of the credibility, viability, and accountability of traditional institutions, such as the Catholic Church, congress, higher education, public education and even medical systems. As the economy shifted from making things, to providing services, to managing information, we have lost the concept of work, of any accompanying work ethic, of the idea of individual responsibility, and of the critical; nature and role of functional families.

Compounding this is the major increase in chronic illnesses among the population, from 7.5% of the people being chronically ill in 1934 to 60% today. Couple this with the failure of the public education system to educate their charges, the failure of Christian and Jewish religions to reinforce Judeo-Christian values, and the incredible costs of medical care and higher education, and you have the perfect storm of illiterate, value-free citizens managed by an elitist cadre of politicians and technocrats who have centralized power in their federal and information systems, reducing individual freedoms and erasing constitutional rights.

There is no joy in my saying this, only in the possibility that others may learn from this.
