The final step in the empty-nesting process

Gaby left for UCLA in late September 2017. She left for T Rowe Price in New York in July 2021. What an incredible four years!

This morning, around 6:00 a.m., we passed the final hurdle on our way to become true empty nesters, when Gaby flew off to New York to formally and officially -- on the salaried payroll --start the first job of her career with T Rowe Price. We are odd. Basically I retired before we become official empty nesters. I think that is quite uncommon.

Getting to the empty nest is a process, not a single event.
