Climate variance versus climate change

Tony Heller does it again. And clearly John P. Holdren -- Obama's climate czar -- is either changing his mind, or he has just lost his mind.

Anyone with a memory or understanding of history that goes back a hundred years, knows full well that American acreage lost to forest fires, American deaths and damages from hurricanes, and deaths from all global natural disasters have been decline significantly in the past hundred years, as much as 90%.
And any person with a basic understanding of physics understands that air conditioning has greatly improved life and productivity in the southern portions of the United States.
And any person who attended college in the 1960s or 1970s remembers that cutting off carbon based fuels crippled the economy and that the precursors to "climate scientists" were predicting global cooling as well as the disappearance of oil in a matter of decades, i.e, peak oil.
The again, we seem to have some idea of how the climate has changed since dinosaurs ruled the earth, tens of millions of years ago, actually more than 200 million years ago. That doesn't mean the today's "climate scientists" have an accurate assessment -- just models -- as to what is going to be the "global climate" in one hundred years.
