If you think this month has had extreme weather, think again. As Tony Heller makes clear here and here, you need to look elsewhere for extreme weather in the United States. For example, March 1913 provided really bad weather in the United States, yet for real extreme weather here and around the world, look to 1936. The year 1936 found weather running to both record cold and record heat. Highlights -- including contemporary newspaper reports and weather graphs from the past century -- from his two videos follow below. Good to remember on this sixty-degree day in Wisconsin that five years ago, Baltimore had a record snowfall, 29.2 inches. We've not had 29 inches of snow total in this past winter season.
